A figure skater’s progress is measured by a series of tests, which are governed by the U.S. Figure Skating Association. EPFSC conducts test sessions throughout the year, offering Moves in the Field and Freestyle evaluations.
Most application deadlines are 7 days prior to the test date. Test sessions may be closed earlier than noted if the session is full prior to that date. If you feel there is a need for an exception, please have your coach speak with the test chair. Please see the announcements on the testing registration page for updates.
Test fees are on a graduated scale based on the level of the Freestyle or Moves test beginning with pre-preliminary test at $30, increasing to $65 for a senior-level test. Dance tests are $15 per for Home Club members and $20 per for Non-Members. Home club skaters have priority on all test sessions.

Testing outside EPFSC
- Please check the Twin City Figure Skating Association event calendar for test sessions at area clubs. Test fees may differ.
- To test at another club, you must also notify the EPFSC test chairperson. Please email email@example.com upon registration. The hosting club will require approval from our test chair prior to test day.
Upcoming Test Schedule at EPFSC
All testing sessions are on Rink 1 at Eden Prairie Community Center. Skaters: dress and fix your hair as you would for a competition. Skaters may wear skate jackets/sweaters and gloves for a moves test, but it is best to remove them for a freestyle test.
